Every student possesses unique assets and qualities that deserve to be supported and developed; both academically and socially.”

About Kim

As a Denver native, Manual High School graduate, and fifth generation Coloradan, Kim’s career has centered around ensuring academic and educational achievement for all students. As a Student Success Advisor with Guild Education, she provided clients with college, career, and life coaching resources and guidance in their post-secondary pursuits.

During her tenure at Denver Public Schools, in the College and Career Success Department, she worked closely alongside hundreds of high school students on their journey to ensure they had purposeful plans for their future. The partnership work she led enabled students to find pathways and pursue concrete goals after 12th grade; including higher education, certificates, trades, and gap year programming.

Kim holds a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from University of Colorado at Denver and a B.A. in Political Science from Grinnell College. She sits on the boards of the Donnell-Kay Foundation and Sammy’s Buddy Program.

Kim is a member of the Higher Education Consultants Association (HECA), a member of the College Consultants of Colorado (CCC), and completed an Independent Education Consultant Certificate with the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC). With a background that includes working with students who have diverse dreams and goals, Kim is committed to helping students find their best “fit” academically, socially, and financially.

In her free time Kim loves running, skiing, traveling, and watching rom-coms with her three daughters ages 12, 16, and 17.
